FIA boosts F1 Super Licence points for Indycar

Dec.11 The FIA has confirmed an increase in Formula 1 Super Licence points for IndyCar – a long-awaited adjustment that comes as Colton Herta needs an F2 campaign this year to qualify for a 2027 Cadillac seat. The decision was signed off at the FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in Tashkent. In its statement, the governing body said: 'The number of points allocated to the IndyCar Series has been increased for positions from 3rd – 9th to reflect the growing significance of the category.' The revised structure gives far stronger rewards for top-five championship finishes. Third now earns 25 points (up from 20), fourth jumps from 10 to 20, and fifth rises from 8 to 15. Sixth...
