F1: These things happen, says Mekies of Hadjar crash
Red Bull boss unable to assess the impact Isack Hadjar's crash will have on the team. Hadjar was one of four drivers on duty on Tuesday, representing just two teams - Red Bull and Ferrari - as rivals opted to sit out the wet conditions. Late in the day, the Frenchman went off at Turn 14, reportedly damaging the rear wing and suspension. Allowed just one more day of testing, Mekies admits that it is too early to say when the team will be back in action. 'The priority right now, as we speak tonight, is to assess the damage on the car and to see what does it give to us in terms of opportunities to run in the next day,' Mekies told F1TV.
