Jake Dennis wins F1 test with McLaren

Reigning Formula Renault NEC Champion Jake Dennis picked up the McLaren Autosport BRDC award on Sunday evening, earning him a prize Formula 1 test. Dennis, who is backed by the Racing Steps Foundation, also received £100,000 towards his racing career and full membership of the British Racing Drivers' Club. The 17-year-old won his 2012 Formula Renault title by a comfortable 60-point margin, securing three victories and a further eight podium finishes in his debut season. To claim BRDC honours, Dennis went up against rivals Jack Hawksworth, Josh Hill, Jordan King, Melville McKee and Josh Webster in a series of on-track tests.
