F1 only needs 10 teams - Ecclestone

Bernie Ecclestone has said Formula One would be better off with 10 teams as the grid looks set to be reduced to 11 in 2013. HRT was not named on the FIA's official entry list for next season and looks set to fold unless it can find a buyer. One of its suppliers - Formtech Industries - claimed earlier this week that liquidation procedures started at HRT on November 12 and that it is no longer in a position to pay 100% of its outstanding invoices. But Ecclestone said he is not concerned that F1 will likely have a smaller grid in 2013. "I'd rather have 10," he told Reuters. "I never wanted 12.
