Hamilton makes first Mercedes factory visit

Lewis Hamilton has visited the Mercedes factory in Brackley for the first time since he signed a £60 million contract with the Anglo-German outfit for 2013 and beyond. Whilst his McLaren contract doesn't expire until December 31st, the two rivals came to an agreement allowing the 2008 champion to begin working with his new team in advance. The Sun newspaper reports the 27-year-old met his engineers earlier in the week before taking a spin in their simulator. Soon to be ex-motorsport boss Norbert Haug confirmed Mercedes and McLaren had struck a deal, freeing Hamilton of the contractual restrictions.
