Stewart slams Formula 1 stewards' system

Sir Jackie Stewart has hit out at the current Formula 1 stewards' system, explaining that more consistency is required on the panel. Introduced in 2010, the current structure sees a rotating driver steward placed alongside two FIA-chosen judges, but the triple World Champion says a dedicated professional should attend every race. 'How can you possibly have four [sic. three] different stewards at every Grand Prix? Why have you not got one professional?' Stewart is quoted as saying by City A.M., arguing that there should be 'one man who goes to every race who is going to make consistent judgements and has got authority.'
