Toro Rosso announces Jerez launch
Toro Rosso has announced the STR8 will be launched at Jerez on February 4 ahead of the opening day of the first pre-season test. The new car will be unveiled on the Monday afternoon, with the first test getting underway on Tuesday February 5 at the circuit. It will be the first car worked on by new technical director James Key after he joined the team midway through the 2012 season having left Sauber at the start of the year. Mercedes is also launching its new car on the same day at Jerez, with the launch taking place at 13:30 local time - four hours before the Toro Rosso is unveiled by Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne.
