Hulkenberg opens pre-season F1 testing

Sauber driver Nico Hulkenberg was the first man out as pre-season testing for the 2013 season got underway on Thursday. Hulkenberg was followed onto the 4.428-kilometres track by Mark Webber from world champions Red Bull, with team-mate and title holder Sebastian Vettel not having his first laps until Thursday. The Jerez tests run until Friday and are the first of three rounds ahead of the March 17 season-opener in Australia. Further tests are set for February 19-22 and February 28-March 3 in Barcelona.
