Nico Hulkenberg is Sauber’s ‘Bigfoot’

Nico Hulkenberg was prepared to adapt when he had signed for a new team for the 2013 season but the German faced an unusual situation in his brand new Sauber. The former Force India driver’s size 43 feet are too big for the C32, making it inconvenient for the 25-year-old to get to the pedals. 'My toes always bump up into the tight cockpit when I go for the pedals,” Hulkenberg revealed to the Bild. And since the car cannot be rebuilt, the driver, who is just over six feet tall, is tackling the difficulty in a unique way. “Our trick is that we have the rubber soles cut back on its heels. This gives us some space!' Hulkenberg said.
