'Sutil did an excellent job'

Adrian Sutil's chances of securing Force India's second seat were boosted after he impressed the team's Chief Race Engineer during testing. Having been dropped by Force India at the end of the 2011 Championship, Sutil has been away for Formula One for 15 months. That, though, did not appear to hamper the German as he climbed into the cockpit of the team's latest VJM06 in a bid to secure a drive. Sutil covered 78 laps on Thursday with a best time of 1:22.877, which put him 1.002s off the pace.
