Toro Rosso happy with final day, despite rain

Even with the wet track that greeted teams today at Barcelona, there was no time to waste in preparation for the F1 season. Toro Rosso also were happy with their day, as it enabled them to try out the new changed wet weather compounds from Pirelli. In the morning, when there were some dry moments, Jean-Eric Vergne did some aero work, while the afternoon was given over to assessing the Pirelli wet weather tyres, which like the 2013 slicks, are different to those used last year. The final part of the afternoon was spent giving the race team some valuable pit stop practice. Jean-Eric Vergne: “Another productive day, even with the rain.
