Marussia on the lookout for 2014 engine supply

Marussia have confirmed that they are on the lookout for a new engine supplier for 2014 in the belief that current supplier Cosworth aren't building a new engine to meet the new regulations. The sport will switch to 1.4 litre turbo-V6 power units next season at a significant cost to the engine manufacturers. PURE, a start-up led by Craig Pollock, has already suspended its programme in light of the costs involved, and it's believed, according to Marussia CEO Graeme Lowdon, that Cosworth will pull out too. "My understanding is that Cosworth won't be making a 2014 engine," said Lowdon during a FOTA fans' forum. "Obviously I don't work for Cosworth, but that is my understanding....
