McLaren and Vodafone to split

McLaren and Vodafone have confirmed they will part ways at the end of this season amidst rumours that Telmex could become the team's title sponsor. Having left Ferrari at the end of 2006, telecommunications giant Vodafone switched their allegiance - and finances - to McLaren in 2007. However, that relationship will conclude at the end of this year's Championship as Vodafone has 'decided to focus on business priorities away from Formula One sponsorship.'
