Hamilton hits back at critics

Lewis Hamilton says Mercedes never suggested they would have a poor car in 2013 and feels the team could have done even better than his fifth place in Australia.One of the major talking points throughout the winter had been how Hamilton would perform after swapping a regular race winner in McLaren for a Mercedes team that had only picked up one victory since returning to the sport in 2010. However, whilst McLaren toiled in Melbourne, Hamilton lined up third on the grid, whilst team-mate Nico Rosberg set the pace during Q1 and Q2 in wet conditions.
