Ferrari may have favoured Alonso over Massa in Australia

Ferrari’s decision to pit Fernando Alonso early for his second stop at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix has not gone down well with teammate Felipe Massa. Chasing leader Adrian Sutil with Sebastian Vettel in close pursuit at the time, the two Ferrari drivers were expected to pit three or four laps later according to its strategy. But on lap 20, Alonso entered the pit lane for an undercut, leaving Massa to continue behind the two Germans, which ensured that the double world champion rejoined the track ahead of the Force India and Red Bull when they pitted.
