Claire Williams becomes deputy team principal at Williams
Williams have announced that Claire Williams, the daughter of team principal and founder Sir Frank Williams, will become their deputy team principal with immediate effect.Claire Williams, who has been the squad’s director of marketing and communications for the past year, will “play a pivotal role in the day to day running and long term development of the race team,” according to a statement released by Williams. “The position will strengthen the future of the team and create a clear succession path for Williams,” it continued.The Grove-based squad had planned to announce the new appointment before the start of the 2013 season, but following the death of Sir...
