Gutiérrez gets five-place Bahrain grid drop

Sauber's Esteban Gutiérrez has been given a five-place grid penalty for the Bahrain Grand Prix, with the Mexican deemed to have been at fault for the incident that sent him and Force India rival Adrian Sutil out of the action at Shanghai on Sunday. On the fifth lap of this afternoon's race, Gutiérrez lost control of his car under braking for the final hairpin and ploughed into the back of Sutil's Force India. The rookie instantly apologised, admitting that he simply misjudged his approach to the corner. A collision between Mark Webber and Jean-Éric Vergne is also being studied, while a number of drivers are under investigation for potentially using DRS under yellow flags.
