The Bahrain Grand Prix - did you know?

The Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir has been the location for the Bahrain Grand Prix since its inception in 2004 and this year hosts the event for a ninth time. Ahead of this weekend’s race, we bring you some of the more noteworthy trivia about the event…• The Bahrain Grand Prix is traditionally held in April, but twice in its eight year history it has been run in March - 2006 and 2010. It was the season-opener on both occasions.• The first Bahrain Grand Prix, in 2004, was dominated by Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.
