Hamilton receives Bahrain grid penalty

By Editor on Saturday, April 20, 2013 Lewis Hamilton will incur a five place grid penalty for the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Brit suffered a left rear problem – thought to be either tyre or suspension related – during the final moments of third practice, during which he set the fifth fastest time. Mercedes has confirmed that the gearbox on Hamilton's W04 will be changed, thus meaning that Hamilton will drop five places on the grid from wherever he qualifies. Hamilton becomes the third driver to receive a grid penalty for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Mark Webber will drop three places and Esteban Gutierrez will drop five places as a result of causing collisions during the Chinese Grand...
