Rosberg secures pole in thrilling qualifying session

Nico Rosberg secured his third successive pole position in a thrilling qualifying session in Monaco. Rosberg's edged out team-mate Lewis Hamilton by less than a tenth of a second to give Mercedes their second consecutive front row lockout. Sebastian Vettel will line up in third, with Red Bull team mate Mark Webber in fourth place. Kimi Raikkonen starts fifth, ahead of Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez. Adrian Sutil was eighth, while a loss of power left Jenson Button in ninth. Jean-Eric Vergne made it through to Q3 for the first time in his career but could manage only tenth.
