Red Bull's Monaco pole streak ends after Vettel's mistake

Sebastian Vettel conceded that he made a mistake on his final hot lap that potentially cost him pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday. Mercedes locked out the front row in Monte Carlo, ending Red Bull’s pole streak at the twisty track in the French Riviera that lasted three successive years. The German driver had a chance to continue that run for his team but a lock up at Mirabeau robbed him of that opportunity. “Mercedes was very quick all weekend,” said Vettel confessing to his mistake. “But it didn’t come together for me on the last lap. 'We know they (Mercedes) are quick on one lap,' he continued. 'I don't want that to sound like an excuse....
