Rosberg holds lead after clear start

Pole-sitter Nico Rosberg maintained his lead at the start of the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday after a largely incident-free beginning. Mercedes driver Rosberg kept teammate Lewis Hamilton behind him as the top seven on the grid held positions to continue line-astern throughout the early part of the race. It was only towards the back of the grid where there was contact between Caterham's Giedo van der Garde and Pastor Maldonado of Williams, necessitating a trip back to the pits for both. Force India's Adrian Sutil lost eighth place to McLaren's Jenson Button following slight contact between the pair while the Briton also managed to pass teammate Sergio Perez.
