Mercedes called to International Tribunal over tyre test

The FIA has called Mercedes to face the International Tribunal over its tyre test with Pirelli but has closed the case against Ferrari. Both Mercedes and Ferrari were asked to reply to an inquiry in to their respective tests by the FIA after a row erupted over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. Mercedes tested using its 2013 car while Ferrari used its 2011 chassis and as a result the FIA has only called Mercedes to face the tribunal. The full FIA statement reads as follows: 'The Monaco Grand Prix Stewards raised in their report to the FIA an issue concerning a tyre testing session carried out by Pirelli with the participation of Team Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 in Barcelona on 15-17 May 2013....
