Jenson Button prays for Canadian GP rain

Jenson Button hopes the possible intervention of rain will present McLaren with an opportunity to win this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix. The 2009 world champion claimed victory in the 2011 race in Montreal, which at over four hours became the longest race in the history of Formula One, in changeable conditions that saw Button emerge through the field from the rear of the pack. The 33-year-old is yet to even take to the podium so far in 2013, however, thanks to McLaren’s troublesome MP4-28 car, with a fifth-place in April’s Chinese Grand Prix his best result of the season.
