Hamilton seeks extra race pace

A frustrated Lewis Hamilton has called for a step-up in race pace at Mercedes after losing out to both Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso during the Canadian GP.Although Montreal witnessed a return to form for Hamilton after his disappointing and rather lacklustre performance in Monaco, with the 2008 World Champion delivering a resounding defeat of on-song team-mate Nico Rosberg in both qualifying and the race, Hamilton's weekend ultimately ended in underwhelming fashion as the victorious Vettel sped off into the distance before Alonso overtook the Mercedes for second place.
