Tyregate hearing to take place on June 20th

The FIA has today confirmed that its tribunal will meet on June 20th to decide the action that will be taken over the ensuing tyregate saga. Mercedes and Pirelli will both be present at the hearing, having taken part in a ‘secret' tyre test after the Spanish Grand Prix using their 2013 car, the W04. This does contravene the regulations that ban in-season testing, causing Ferrari and Red Bull to lodge protests against the German team. Over the past few weeks, more and more details have emerged about the test, with Ross Brawn taking responsibility for the decision on Friday.
