Grand Prix of America secures long term future

The second US Grand Prix, labelled the ‘Grand Prix of America', has secured a long-term future in Formula One after agreeing to a 15-year contract with FOM and Bernie Ecclestone. The race – which will take place on a 3.2 mile street circuit located in New Jersey and alongside the Hudson River – had been scheduled to debut in June 2013 just after last weekends round in Canada. However Bernie Ecclestone had to cancel the deal due to the fact that organisers had not 'complied with the terms and conditions of the contract'. Organisers also ran into financial difficulty but Ecclestone came to the rescue, helping them to pay off debts that would enable them to stage the race....
