Lotus unhappy with Pirelli tyre choices

Lotus have criticised Pirelli's tyre choice for two of the next three races, saying they have gone too conservative. On Friday, Pirelli announced their compounds for the next three grands prix; Britain, Germany and Hungary. However, it's the company's tyre choices for Silverstone and the Hungaroring - the medium and hard compounds - that Lotus's Alan Permane says are too conservative. "It's unusual to take the same tyres to Hungary as to Bahrain and Silverstone," the team's Trackside Operations Director told BBC Sport. "We didn't have those tyres last year.
