Conservative tyre choices may help Force India

Force India isn’t fully sure whether Pirelli’s nomination of tyres for the next three races will necessarily provide an advantage to the team just yet, although its driver Paul di Resta hinted that it could probably suit the car. The Italian manufacturer has allocated the medium-hard combination for the British and Hungarian Grands Prix while the choice for Germany is the medium-soft pairing. Lotus has been critical of the allocation pointing out that the provision is conservative and unusual citing that it could provide an undue advantage to teams like Red Bull and Mercedes, which have been struggling to manage its tyres this year. “It's a conservative approach,”...
