Matt Morris leaves Sauber to join McLaren

Current technical director of Sauber, Matt Morris is leaving the Swiss team after only 2 years with the team. Morris will join McLaren as soon as his Sauber contract is released. The departure comes only about a year after former Sauber technical director James Key left for Toro Rosso. Morris at that time was promoted but now departs the team completely. At Sauber he will be replaced by Head of concept design Eric Gandelin. For McLaren, Morris is part of 'an ongoing programme to strengthen the engineering department as our organisation prepares for the arrival of Honda in 2015.', a spokesperson commented to Autosport.
