Alonso blames team after qualifying flop

A disappointed Fernando Alonso blamed his Ferrari team on Saturday for failing to improve his car after he had qualified only 10th for Sunday's British Grand Prix. The 31-year-old Spaniard, twice a world champion with Renault in 2005 and 2006, revealed his frustration with the Italian team's lack of progress immediately after a thrilling session topped by the speed of outstanding Briton Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes. Alonso said: "We were not competitive all weekend and it's not normal to see Ferrari out of Q3. We need to recover now and it was a bad Saturday.
