Pirelli allowed tests after blowouts

Pirelli have been given the green light to conduct two three-day tyre tests in the wake of the British Grand Prix blowout debacle, Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone said on Monday. Ecclestone said that he met with Jean Todt, president of the ruling body FIA, who agreed that the in-season testing ban will be lifted in an effort to ensure safe racing after the left rear tyres of Lewis Hamilton, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne and Sergio perez exploded during Sunday's race at Silverstone.
