Ricciardo admits off-track excursion driver error

Daniel Ricciardo has admitted that an off-track excursion whilst testing for Red Bull Racing on day two of the Young Driver Test was driver error. The Aussie lost control of the RB9 after just seven laps and beached the car in the gravel trap at Silverstone's Luffield corner. Despite the off, he felt that the day was positive and an invaluable experience. Antonio Felix da Costa had driven the car in the morning whilst Ricciardo was behind the wheel of the Toro Rosso STR8. The Portuguese driver admitted that he now feels ready for Formula 1 should a seat become available.
