Ricciardo happy to continue Q3 ‘habit’
Daniel Ricciardo has declared himself pleased with his qualifying performance for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the Australian finishing in eighth after racking up his fourth appearance in the top-ten shootout in four races. Ricciardo recorded a 1:20.641 to out-qualify team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne for the eighth time this season, but reckons that there is still extra pace to be gleaned from the team’s STR8 chassis, admitting that without a disappointing Friday he may have placed even higher. “It was good to get into Q3 again,” Ricciardo began. “We seem to make a habit of finding a little bit extra for qualifying, although ideally, I’d like to be on the pace right from Friday and chip...
