Mercedes victories the result of secret test

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has criticised the FIA for lacking 'courage' when it penalised Mercedes for taking part in a private tyre test with Pirelli earlier in the season. That test, he believes, is also the sole reason behind the Anglo-German outfits sudden rise to the top, despite claims from both Mercedes and Pirelli that no advantage was gained as all data and what tyres they were using was kept secret. Montezemolo though thinks differently and welcomed the return of legitimate in-season testing next season which will be limited to four sessions.
