Red Bull confirm Ricciardo for 2014
As expected, Red Bull racing have confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will replace Mark Webber next season.
The Aussie has been linked to his compatriot's seat from the get-go and was initially in competition with 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen.
However, Red Bull opted instead to go with the a young driver, signing Ricciardo in a multi-year deal.
"It's fantastic to confirm Daniel as the team's race driver for 2014. He's a very talented youngster, he's committed, he's got a great attitude and in the end it was a very logical choice for us to choose Daniel," said team boss Christian Horner.
