Button struggling on Prime compound

Jenson Button has described as "strange" the performance gap between the Super Soft and Medium compound tyres supplied for this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, the McLaren driver experiencing a difference of three seconds during Friday practice. After a low-key start to the weekend, the Briton progressed to seventh position when the Super Soft performance runs took place in the second 90 minute session, but admits work needs to be done to improve the balance of his car on the Prime tyre.
