Kvyat gets the nod for Toro Rosso seat

Teenager Daniil Kvyat has won the race to replace the Red Bull-bound Daniel Ricciardo at Toro Rosso for the 2014 season. In a surprise move by the Faenza-based squad, the 19-year-old Russian was on Monday evening confirmed as Jean-Eric Vergne's partner for the new campaign. Portuguese driver Antonio Felix da Costa was long considered favourite to take over from Ricciardo, but the seat went to Kvyat in the end with Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko breaking the news.
