Pirelli calls for more testing

Pirelli has warned F1 role players that it needs to be granted more testing opportunities ahead of the 2014 campaign. F1 is set for an early start next year with the first pre-season test pencilled in for mid-January, but that has left Pirelli with limited time to test their tyres before teams role out their new cars. The Italian manufacturer has already scheduled a test with a 2011 McLaren model in November, but they will need a few more tests as their tyres need to come to grips with the V6 turbo engines. Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery urged the F1 community to make sure they get as much mileage under their belts as possible ahead of the first pre-season test. "We...
