Court delays Indian GP hearing, race unhindered

The Indian Grand Prix will go ahead unhindered following the threat of cancellation over unpaid taxes according to local media reports. The country's Supreme Court had been due to hear a case brought against the organisers of the race on Friday for failing to pay tax on the 2012 event after it was reclassified as entertainment rather than sport. Campaigner Amit Kumar lodged a complaint with the court asking for this weekends event to be cancelled and a hearing was booked for Friday. However that has now been delayed.
