Todt 'wins' election after Ward pulls out

Jean Todt is set to secure a second term as FIA president after David Ward decided to withdraw from the election race. The battle between Ward and Todt has taken quite a few interesting twists in recent weeks with the latter particularly unimpressed with the electoral system that has been used. Ward, though, has decided to pull out of the race as he believes he would not have been able to "secure the required number of regional Vice Presidents for Sport to ensure the eligibility of my list".
