Small factory fire not a concern - Mercedes
Mercedes has confirmed that the Northamptonshire fire brigade attended their engine factory in Brixworth on Monday night following a fire at the facility. A tweet sent by the fire department sparked concern amongst fans on Twitter, but the team has confirmed it was nothing more than a minor incident when a small amount of oil ignited on its engine dyno. "Incident 25/11/13 21:56 turbo unit on test engine involved in fire. #Brixworth", read the tweet. A spokesperson for the team confirmed that it was normal procedure for the emergency services to attend and there was no damage to the facility or the dyno itself.
