Whitmarsh believes Mercedes favourite for title
Mercedes are favourite to take the 2014 title according to rival team boss Martin Whitmarsh, despite Red Bull's recent dominance which has seen them win everything for the past four years. The McLaren team principal, whose team uses Mercedes engines for now, says the manufacturer outfit will get a major benefit from designing its own engine. Ferrari are the only other team to build its own engines, whilst Red Bull have major input into the Renault power unit, but remain a customer.
