Brawn hopes Merc grabs 2014 chance

He won't be around at Mercedes in 2014, but Ross Brawn says he is "pretty comfortable" with the team's approach for the new campaign. Brawn has decided to step down as team principal of the Brackley-based squad and will take a six-month sabbatical before deciding on his future. It means he will miss out on what could be an interesting start to the season as it will mark the introduction of new regulations with the change from the 2.4-litre V8 engines to 1.6-liter V6 turbos and the use of energy recovery systems the biggest.
