Lauda: Reliability will be crucial for F1 2014

– Mercedes non-executive chairman Niki Lauda has said reliability will be the deciding factor next season, when it comes to determining which driver and which team ultimately comes out top. Red Bull Racing will start 2014 as favourites again, given the squad’s domination in recent years, but Mercedes should also be competitive and after an encouraging 2013, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will both be hoping they can push and put Sebastian Vettel under more pressure as the sport enters a new era and brings in 1.6 litre-turbo charged engines. “It [the regulation changes] is a big challenge and a big opportunity to go ahead again,” the three-time F1 world champion told...
