Grosjean: Lotus had potential to make Q3

– Romain Grosjean says that he was surprised to make it through to Q2 during qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix but believes Lotus had the potential to make it through to the top 10 shootout. Lotus has endured a troublesome time with their recalcitrant E22 this season but Grosjean progressed through to Q2 during wet conditions at Sepang. The Frenchman will start the race from the 15th on the grid. "It was definitely a good surprise to reach Q2 today, and I think we would have had the potential to reach Q3 had it not been for a miscommunication towards the end of the session when I should have come in for new tyres," he said.
