Daniel Ricciardo issued ten-place grid penalty for Bahrain

Daniel Ricciardo has been issued with a ten-place grid penalty for next weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix, as a further punishment for his unsafe release during the latter stages of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Upon pitting for the second time during the 56-lap race, Ricciardo prematurely exited his pit-box with his front-left tyre insecurely fitted to his car. The resulting confusion saw the Australian ace forced to stop halfway down the pit-lane, as his mechanics chased after him and eventually rolled him back into his box.
