Gene Haas confirms Formula One plans
– Gene Haas, co-owner of NASCAR outfit Stewart-Haas Racing, has confirmed that he has been granted an entry into Formula 1. Haas confirmed on Friday that his prospective entry has been approved by the FIA and he said he welcomed the decision of the sport's governing body. "Obviously, we're extremely pleased to have been granted a Formula 1 licence by the FIA," he said. "It's an exciting time for me, Haas Automation and anyone who wanted to see an American team return to Formula 1. Now, the really hard work begins.
