Disappointing qualifying session in Canada for Lotus
The Lotus F1 Team suffered a disappointing qualifying session for tomorrow's Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Like the last race weekend in Monaco, both cars failed to make it through to the top 10 shoot-out, with Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado qualifying 14th and 17th respectively.
The 2.709 mile circuit mainly consists of long straights and slow corners, which do not suit the Renault-powered E22.
Maldonado was forced to park his car at the turn three escape road towards the end of the first qualifying segment after a car issue.
It was a precautionary stop, which meant he was unable to complete a final lap and escape the Q1 drop-zone. The team has yet to confirm...
