Excuse-riddled Raikkonen should 'go home'

Approaching the halfway mark to the current season, Kimi Raikkonen is yet to prove that he is a worthy signing for Ferrari as the Finn has struggled to cope with the new regulations this year. After eight races, Fernando Alonso has scored 79 points, featured on the podium once and is fourth in the drivers’ championship while teammate Raikkonen is in a lowly 12th with 19 points, 11 less than Felipe Massa, whom the Finn replaced at Maranello. Raikkonen’s performance this season has been criticised by several observers with 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve calling for the Finn to adapt his driving style to the demands of the latest cars.
